The Graduate School of Management and Organization (GRAMO)

Gramo doctoral tutorial In management, organization and enrepreneurship 2023

The Graduate School of Management and Organization (GRAMO) doctoral tutorial is held October 5-6, 2023. The tutorial is co-organized by Aalto School of Business & Hanken School of Economics together with the Kataja’s GRAMO graduate school and it will take place at the Aalto campus in Otaniemi, Espoo.

The objective of the GRAMO tutorial is to provide an opportunity for doctoral researchers (or doctoral students, if you prefer that term) in the field of management, organization, and entrepreneurship studies to present and discuss their research work and to learn how to review and provide feedback to others. Perhaps most importantly, this is an opportunity to get to know and network with colleagues from across the Finnish universities, be it doctoral researchers or faculty members, in the spirit of mutual learning. Doctoral researchers have also the opportunity to formulate questions and propose topics for a panel discussion comprising both junior and senior academics.

Doctoral researchers from all Finnish universities are welcome to submit either (1) a paper or (2) their doctoral research plan. Submissions from early- to late-stage doctoral researchers are welcome, as are both early-stage, work-in-progress, and more advanced papers.

The tutorial is targeted at, and free of charge for all doctoral students in the Finnish KATAJA member universities.

While doctoral tutorials in the field of M&O have a long tradition, in the last years, they have not been organized. In 2021, the GRAMO professoral board decided it was time to launch the annual tutorial tradition again, and in so doing, re-create a Finnish scholarly community in the field of M&O.
